Professional development points?

For Health Care practitioners 50 hrs CPD

Yes. Your CPD (professional Development) hours are approved with APHRA for all APHRA Health practitioners including Physiotherapists who choose to use therapeutic yoga within their scope of practice.

You don't need to be a yoga teacher already but some experience of yoga or a desire to practice and learn are important.

Are you already a yoga teacher?

That's great! you can use your PD points with Yoga Australia. You can even use this course to contribute to a level 2 or 3 further qualification as it is the core unit of Integrative Yoga 150hr post grad teacher training if you wish to continue your yoga studies.

About the Course Lead teacher Rebecca Fagan

Lead educator

Rebecca Fagan is a registered Physiotherapist with 25 years experience working with clients in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy private practice and Rebecca is also a Senior Yoga teacher with Yoga Australia and ERYT500+ registered with Yoga Alliance internationally.

Additionally Rebecca has training and experience in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) acupuncture and meridian theory, lecturing in advanced anatomy, trauma sensitive yoga, Gestalt therapy and group work dynamics.

Rebecca has led yoga retreats and training in Bali from 2013 to 2019 for students, health professionals and yoga teachers.

Rebecca will be taking a minimum of 70% of the core training modules. This allows for guest teachers.

Rebecca has worked in many areas of physiotherapy; musculoskeletal private practice, pre and post natal women's health, rehabilitation, progressive neurological conditions, older adults, chronic conditions, pain management and community health incorporating Physioyoga principles into practice.

Hatha Yoga, yoga Yin, children's yoga, Yoga for seniors, meditation, mindfulness and Yoga Nidra are also key experience areas.

Mentoring is available throughout the course.
