More About The ChakraYoga Presenters
Welcome!
Swāmi Muktibodhānanda
I found yoga in 1972 as an adjunct to classical ballet. I soon realised that the major benefits of yoga practise for me were at an emotional and psychological level. I was fortunate to meet Paramahansa Swami Satyānanda in 1976 at the Sydney World Yoga Convention. And I travelled to India to study under his direct guidance. For 10 years I lived at the Bihār School of Yoga, Munger. I practised various aspects of freedom yoga and taught classical Hatha Yoga. During this time I also authored ‘Swara Yoga, the Tantric Science of Brain Breathing’ and commentaries on ‘Haṭha Yoga Pradīpikā, the Light on Hatha Yoga’, the C15 AD Sanskrit text by Yogi Swātmarāma. Paramahansa Swāmi Niranjanānanda gave me the title of Yogācharya, master of yoga, in 1993.

While in Brisbane I teach regular yoga and meditation classes at my studio Mukti Freedom Yoga in Forest Lake.
My goal is to bring the ancient yoga practices into the modern day context

Rebecca Fagan, Yogashakti
integrates physiotherapy and yoga knowledge and skills gained over 25+ years...

I started yoga in the mid 1980s as a Uni student. I quickly discovered yoga techniques not only helped with aches and pains, flexibility and strength but also stress management, study and sleep. Meditation and mindfulness opened up a whole new inner world. Yoga was having profound effects on my body, mind, relationships, choices and resilience.

Initially I studied yoga teacher training with the Bihar yoga method and then combined this wonderful and comprehensive basis with other styles of yoga and meditation. Integrating physiotherapy, brain and mind science,  psychology, group work skills, meditation and traditional yoga has become my life's work.

Throughout raising a family and working I've used yoga tools as my anchor.  Challenges and life transitions have been transformed through yoga to become precious opportunities for growth. I have healed my body, mind and heart from grief, trauma and injury to live in a place of acceptance, peace, joy and gratefulness. I love to share these uplifting yoga tools.

I established Physioyoga & Wellbeing and have had the joy and privilege of helping patients with physio and yoga therapy for nearly 30 years.
More recently I founded Integrative Yoga Education to share professional and personal development for yoga teachers, health practitioners and people of all abilities.
